Biography
Dr. Beaulieu is a board-certified ophthalmologist and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, the largest and one of the busiest training programs in the country. Following residency, he completed a two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) through the Kresge Eye Institute and William Beaumont Hospital. He is a graduate of the Ohio State University and Wright State University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. Dr. Beaulieu is a Fulbright Fellow and conducted post-graduate research in Spain.
Dr. Beaulieu specializes in disorder of the eyelids, orbit, and surrounding facial structures. He has a special interest in correcting upper and lower eyelid malposition (ptosis, ectropion, entropion, and retraction), eyelid and facial reconstruction from tumors or trauma, and cosmetic and rejuvenation procedures including lower lids surgery, endoscopic forehead lifts, and non-surgical techniques like Botox, filler, and laser skin resurfacing. His research interests include the relationship between eyelid and eyebrow position with various eyelid and facial disorders and surgeries. Dr. Beaulieu has authored multiple publications in the field of oculoplastic surgery and has delivered presentations at local, state, and national conferences. He is also active in teaching and mentoring medical students and ophthalmology residents and fellows. Dr. Beaulieu is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
