Career opportunities

The WSU Master of Science Program in Anatomy and Cell Biology prepares the student for a career in education and/or research.

Students graduating from the Education Track may find teaching positions in middle schools, high schools, and colleges. After graduation, students often find opportunities to work independently or in teams, becoming effective teachers for graduate, medical, and other students in health care profession programs.

Students graduating from the Research Track often find opportunities to work as research assistants in academic laboratories and private industry labs of biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies.

Students from either track may apply for jobs in technical writing, journalism, and graphic arts, depending on their skill set.

Students also use the knowledge and skills obtained from the master's program to prepare for admission and successful completion of medical or dental school, a doctorate degree in biomedical sciences, or other programs related to healthcare professions.
